Programs and Classes for Everyone

Master Yang and Shambhala Martial Arts offers classes for anyone at any age or skill level. We specialize in Tae Kwon Do, an ancient form of the Korean Martial Arts, passed down for centuries from Master to Master. All of our programs teach Self-Defense, Mental Fitness and Personal Integrity.

Demonstration Team and Junior Masters


  • Must follow Master Yang’s Mission Statement and Pathway
  • Execution of skill must be of advanced level
  • Positive attitude in all 3 aspects: TaeKwonDo, School, Home
  • Must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Attend all classes and must perform at all required events

Tiger Cubs

For Children from 3-4 years old. Shambhala Master Yang is known for his wonderful work with children. He magically captures their attention and respect. Combining his warm heart with his superior teaching skills he inspires his Tiger Cubs to channel their energy towards self-control and personal confidence.

For Children from 4-7 years old. Listening skills, self-respect and regard for others lay the foundation for Master Yang’s Tiny Tigers Program. Children from 4 to 7 years old learn how to protect themselves in countless situations, giving their parents a unique peace of mind.

Children and Family Classes

For All Ages. When parents and their children learn Tae Kwon Do together a special bond is created. When these families also learn how to walk the Shambhala Pathway together, their mutual respect and their shared values last a lifetime.

Teens & Adults

Teen and Adult Class

For Ages 13+. When Master Yang combines his teenagers with his adult students, teens gain a whole new regard for adults and our adult students are challenged to new heights by the talent and energy of our teens. The end results are dynamite!

Volunteer Programs

For All Ages. Master Yang offers his students countless opportunities to give back to their community. Master Yang has volunteered his time to local school programs, the community and Senior Centers. For over a decade, Master Yang, his instructors and his students have volunteered their time, energy, and teaching skills every Friday to the Braille Institute, empowering the visually impaired to stride through their lives standing tall and protecting themselves wherever they go.

For Seniors 60+. Shambhala Seniors are our most revered members. Bringing an ancient Asian custom to America, Master Yang combines their 6+ decades of life experiences with his Shambhala Philosophy to demonstrate to all of us that, “We are never too old.” Our Shambhala Seniors inspire us with their wisdom and their rediscovered youthfulness.
